Professional Practice
Dan is ranked as a rising star in the Legal 500, in both financial remedy and children work, where he is described as "an exemplary advocate" who goes "the extra mile for his clients" and "gets to the heart of a case quickly".
Dan undertakes work in all areas of private family law with an emphasis on matrimonial finance and disputes involving children. He has a particular interest in cases that include fraud and the forensic assessment of money trails involving hidden overseas assets. Dan is often instructed in cases involving complex finding of fact hearings in both Children Act and Family Law Act proceedings.
Dan has appeared in the High Court, unled, on multiple occasions including on appeal.
Dan frequently lectures on topics of interest in family law and specialises in seminars on police disclosure.
Before joining Chambers, Dan worked for the Ministry of Defence and as a police officer for the Metropolitan Police. His career saw him work in Counter-terrorism, C.I.D, the fraud squad, and in specialist domestic violence/child protection roles that involved specialist interview training. These experiences give Dan a unique insight and perspective into much of the work Chambers undertakes.
